I love working with long exposures.  It does not matter where I travel, I am always prepared for them. My normal system for this type of work is the Fuji GFX 50R and the Breakthrough X4 magnetic and 100mm ND systems. I have long used B+W and the Lee Seven5 system but have to tell you that the Breakthrough X4 system FAR exceeds the quality of the others!

This is the Spring Maid Pier in Myrtle Beach.

I took this almost a year ago and discovered the roll of 120 Across 100 film in my desk yesterday! Took it into the studio and processed it in Xtol stock at 1-N to recover highlights (written on the roll) and wet mount scanned it today. There were only 4 images on the roll (what the heck was I thinking to waste the Acros?)

Mass Confusion...

This is shortly after sunrise at Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island. This was a 2m 40s exposure captured on a 6x12 Dayi with a 90mm lens and a 10 stop ND filter on Acros 100 film processed in Xtol stock at n-1 to keep control of the highlights.

Today spent the morning prior to returning home at the Nags Head Pier for some really long work. The waves where HUGE!

Here is one that I did there demonstrating exposures near the 10 min mark! The fog really made it a great location for everyone!

This was with the Breakthrough X4 14 stop magnetic nd filter on a Fuji GFX 50R medium format digital.
